Title: Stearin

Gear:Canon 400D, Canon EF50/1,8 II

Data: 50 mm, x sec, f2,0, iso 400

Comment: These photos were taken by my girlfriend. We wanted to do something really special and decided to take some nude photographs. This the first time I’m in front of the camera naked since I started working out. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. As narcissistic as it might sound but I love to see my body reshape.

Title: Dadilydoo – Ten

Gear: Canon 400D, Canon EF50/1,8 II

Data: 50 mm, 1/320 sec, f1.8, iso 400

Comment: Just becouse I love my leg so goddamned much.

I just wanted to give you guys an update considering it’s been a month.
Besides working on Tex here I’ve done a few more of those dadilydoo-shots. You know, those 16:9 abstract photos you all love.

Well. Check in soon. Have a good one.

Meet Rhynosarous Tex. This lovely creature is in its way to be dadilydone :D So far I’ve drawn most of the shapes out with pens and started to color bits and pieces. I think he will turn out nicely. It’s been a long time since I painted directly on cloth so this sure is well welcomed technique.

And Mr Lion is coming along nicely as well. Not much of an updated since last time, really. I just a fuckload of dots to the main swastika and did the smaller red ones a lot sketchier.  Other than that, no real difference.

A closer look at the dots. I love them and I hate them. Equally.

Oh, and here’s a piece I bet you never have seen. I started working on it months ago as a custom for a friend. However I’m not even sure she wants it any more since I take such a long time to finish it ^^, Haha!

Lotus

Title: Lotus

Size: 80×80 cm.

Media: Ink and acrylics on canvas.

Availability: For sale.

Comment: The red background for this piece was painted months ago with my hands as a brush. I smeared the paint out on the canvas covering most of it. I even drew the shape of the flower and then I left it to be standing with its back to my living room wall. Until this weekend. The white lotus is painted with acrylics whereas the dripping red is actually black ink. Everything else is ink. The yellow colors you see is actually glimmering gold but I guess it looks quite gloomy in picture compared to reality.

A closer look.

With my new set of pens I’m able continue some older paintings before I start with a couple of new ones. I’ve got a bunch of ideas at the moment but really feel I need to finish what I have on my table at the moment first.

POSCA

27Jan10

I felt like spoiling myself.

So I bought a ton of new Uni Posca pens. This is just what I need to get my creativity going.

As for now I’ve started a few new projects that I’ll continue with and I got heaps of inspiration (and the right pens) to make another piece for the Disney-franchise. You know, the dead ones.

Hopefully I’ll upload something new early next week.

Jinyoung Shin

19Jan10

One of my all-time favorite artists is for sure the young and very talented Jinyoung Shin, also known as Daedally. Everything from her choice of color to fine detail in her work is incredibly inspiring and has helped me evolve quite a lot as an artist.

She used to have an account on devART but she has removed all her astonishing illustrations and all left on the web are the scraps left on her own webpage. I mourn for those who never got to see her mesmerizing work and can only hope she post them again for the public. Below is one of her best imagery that I seemed to have kept on my own HDD.

Besides a few remaining images on the all I can seem to find are the sketches that are posted on her website. Of course, I still love her work but I can never forget the striking imagery that provoked all my senses so deeply when I first saw them.

Another one of her more extensive work can be viewed below. However you really need to see it in a higher resolution to even be able to grasp her genius.

Title: Dadilydoo – Nine

Gear: Canon 400D, Canon EF50/1,8 II

Data: 50 mm, 1/8 sec, f1.8, iso 200

Comment: Long time ago since I made a piece for the ‘dadilydoo’-series but here’s another addition. I’ve had my whole leg covered in ink for two months now but today was the first time that I really, really looked at it. It felt really weird. Like I had discovered something new. Before it felt so very natural that didn’t really see it as anything else than a normal leg. Now I realized that everything about my leg looks different. Everything from its color and shape, to its texture and glow. I love my leg so much.

Title: Holiday Heart Syndrome

Gear:Canon 400D, Canon EF50/1,8 II

Data: 50 mm, x sec, f1,8, iso 800

Comment: Like in my rite of passage I decided to have a change of appearance. Holiday Heart Syndrome is irregular heartbeat pattern in otherwise healthy people. A lot of things are going on inside my mind and my soul and heart is aching of love. What keeps me in line today is the thought of her. The sweetest scent. She keeps my chest warm.
